The 23-year-old winger was a key performer for Palace last season, helping his side to remain in the Premier League with his impressive displays that has drew attention from a couple of clubs in England, with reports that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are leading in the race to sign him.

But Zaha chose to remain at the Selhurst Park, signing a new five-year deal putting the transfer out of reach from the interested clubs.

After the extending his contract, He said: “Palace is in my heart and I don’t think the story is over. I spoke with Steve [Parish] and I think I still have more to give this club.

“The supporters have been amazing and I want us to do more than just stay in the league next year.”

The Ivorien winger was named the Player of the season at Crystal Palace for the second time after his barren spell at Manchester United, where he could not make the cut due to the presence of better talents.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have become endeared to the players due to his impressive display against his side during the course of the season but will have to look elsewhere.
