A popular German newspaper Bild, insisted that the Stamford Bridge club have scouted Jeremy when Germany’s U21 side payed against both England and Portugal. It was also added that the premier league leaders have sent officials to watch him play at his club.

The youngster is one of a handful of Hoffenheim players attracting interest from other clubs. It was reported that Chelsea’s interest in him is being led by their Italian boss Antonio Conte – who, according to them, has been interested in him ever since he was still at Juventus.

WHO IS JEREMY TOLJAN?

He is a talented versatile two footed defender. He can play well across the back four – which is one quality Antonio Conte admires.

Even this season at his club, he has also played in the midfield. His contract is reportedly set to expire in June next year, and with no renewal yet in view,he may consider a  move to other clubs as a free agent.

From all current indications, Chelsea are going to have a very busy summer when the transfer market eventually comes. The former Italy head coach is someone known to go at any length to get whoever he desires, and he could get Toljan down to Stamford Bridge to become a Chelsea player.
