Andreas Christensen is now ready to replace John Terry at Stamford Bridge…

A lot has been said regarding the future of Chelsea Club Captain John Terry during the last couple of seasons as the legend has been operating on a 1-year extension contract at a time. This season, we see him remain mainly on the Chelsea bench, albeit with few game time in the Cup Competitions.

There are lots of rumours that Terry will finally be leaving Chelsea so as to play first-team football in his last years before he finally hangs up his boots.

No one should blame him if he should decide to leave the west London club as he clearly still has the ability and fitness too to be an asset to a top Club somewhere else.

So we wonder, ‘Who is good enough to replace John Terry at Stamford Bridge?’ In terms of availability, there are very few within reach for the blues to sign right now. However, Andreas Christensen is one 20-year old  who is really making a name for himself in the German Bundesliga. And, he’s already a Chelsea owned player.

In the last two seasons for Borussia Monchengladbach, he has simply been superb after becoming a regular within the heart of their defence. He has successfully won lots of admirers within worldwide football, one of which is current Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte.

The Italian coach has recently stated his desire to bring Christensen back at the end of this season, when his two-year loan deal is up. The former Juventus manager reportedly has real intentions for the youngster and sees him as the only player that can step up and replace Terry.

The Danish international holds a similar style of play as Terry. He is quite strong, good in the air, and also has a real desire to put his heart into the game.

This summer, he will re-join the Chelsea squad with expectations to compete in their first team. And of course, there is no doubt that he fully has all what it takes to become a hugely important player at Chelsea and end up becoming the successor to John Terry
