Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has revealed he is ready to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, but warned he will be joining a club in the Champions League.

The French striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, with reports that Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of his qualities and will try to sign him once again after failing to sign him last summer.

Lacazette is currently enjoying a wonderful season with Lyon, and has been touted to leave the club this summer, with Liverpool also believed to be monitoring his situation.

The 25-year-old forward has now revealed he wants to join a Champions League club,  he said: ‘This summer I might go for a breath of fresh air and try something different, always with the idea of progressing in football and as a person,

‘I’m going to keep working he said, with the hope that good opportunities come for me this summer.

‘[The team I join] will have to be in the Champions League and play good football – passing the ball, not just hitting it from box to box. Not kick and rush. That would not work for me.’

Arsenal in the danger of qualifying for the Champions League next season, after being pegged back with poor displays in the Premier League this season.
