Arsenal are on the verge of a summer move for CSKA Moscow midfielder, Aleksandr Golovin, according to reports.

The Gunners have been active since the end of their last campaign which saw them miss out of the Champions League qualification spot for the first time in two decades.

Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on landing several players this season in a bid to bolster his squad ahead of next season, and have started the process by already bringing in Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04 for free, with reports that the Gunners boss is not relenting yet.

Reports in Sport.ru claim that insiders at CSKA Moscow can confirm that Arsenal are on the verge of sealing a £10million for Golovin.

The report also claim that the Russian side wants Arsenal to loan back the player for another season or loan him to Hull City where is expected to learn more under former manager, Leonid Slutsky.

The midfielder who made his first senior appearances at CSKA Moscow in 2015, has nailed regular playing time during the last term. Golovin is known for his versatility, drifting from the left flank to central midfield on many occasions, churning out impressive performance to become one of the key figures for the Russian side as they finished runners-up in their League.

The 21-year-old was part of the Russian national team that had a poor outing in France, but has been tipped for greater things due to his potential.
