Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has revealed that star player Julian Brandt could still stay at the German Bundesliga club beyond this summer.

Rudi Voller spoke to reporters about Julian Brandt after Bayer Leverkusen secured a return to Champions League football on the final day of the German Bundesliga season on Saturday.

According to him via SportBuzzer, Julian Brandt has a 50-50 chance of staying at the club beyond this summer and that it’s the same scenario for the chance of him leaving Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

Rudi Voller said that Bayer Leverkusen have secured Champions League football and he could still stay at the club.

Bayer Leverkusen sealed a return to the big league after they thrashed hosts Hertha Berlin 5-1 in their final league game of the season.

The big win over Hertha Berlin ensured that they maintained fourth spot which was enough to guarantee Champions League football next season.

Julian Brandt scored one of the goals to take his tally for the season to double figures.

He has now scored 10 goals and provided 17 assists for Bayer Leverkusen in all competitions this season.

Julian Brandt has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool with recent reports claiming that the transfer is a done deal.

For now, he remains a Bayer Leverkusen player with a release clause of £21.5m in his current contract which has two years left to run out.
